Let God…(I’m baaack!!)
During a session with my trainer a few weeks ago, there was another lady working out with me. We were on round 3 of one of our sets and we were both struggling. I kept telling her to push through and that “she had this.” The words came out without me even thinking about it. As I was saying these things to her, I realized it also encouraged me to push through and finish strong. In the next few moments, God began to speak.
He told me that me encouraging people through the same things I’m struggling with as well isn’t fraudulent, it’s a gift. I’ve always felt an urge from Holy Spirit to be as transparent as possible (as difficult and terrifying as that can be). God also encouraged me to continue using my gift of encouragement because that’s also where my healing and growth lies.
I’ve wondered why I always feel so empowered when I encourage others. It truly makes my soul sing. But I often shrink back because “who am I to be out here encouraging and helping others heal when I have so much of my own stuff??”
That’s when Holy Spirit reminded me of something God spoke when I first started my blog in 2020: “Your healing is in your transparency.” I was reminded that, through this beautiful gift I get to use to bless others, God using it to heal and encourage me too. And that’s just a beautiful thing
I want to leave you with 3 things I left that encounter with:
1. God will speak through literally anything. He’s such a GREAT God that He wants to be sure to get the message to you…whatever it takes. We have to use discernment and really pay attention as we’re being led.
2. Allow Holy Spirit to lead you in the discovery of what truly makes your spirit leap. The joy is not only in the discovery, but in the leading and guidance of His Spirit.
3. The use of our gifts doesn’t require perfection or for us to have everything “together.” All it requires is our faith and obedience.
Be encouraged. God’s got you.
